Isn't it funny that no matter how old we get, we still like surprises? I do!
This Valentines I received a beautiful quilted table square from my very talented friend, I lent her my new sewing machine, and when she returned it, she brought me one of the things she had made! I just love it!
It looks wonderful on my coffee table with my candle and one of my favourite Lorriane Chien bears!
I always get my guys a fun card and some little thing that I know they will like, for my Sweetheart I get him Cinnamon Hearts, he loves them! For our Son I found a Chocolate Heart filled with Rolos & a Tim Horton's gift card with all the NHL team logos on it! Just fun things but a nice way for them to know I think of them.
My husband brought me home a dozen roses, the picture doesn't do them justice, they are called Black Beautys, and are fabulous!
We used to have a kitty that would destroy every bouquet of flowers I ever got,, she was addicted to baby's breath,, just wouldn't leave them alone. I am sure she is up in kitty heaven, plotting how she could bite all the heads off of my baby's breath!!
I even got treated to a lovely dinner at one of our favourite restaurants,, how sweet,, and such a surprise! Made me feel very special! I do love surprises!
Hope you had a special day filled with love!
A View inside the eye of my Tornado, 19 year old Drag Racer Son, Crazy Amazing Husband, 5 different sewing machines, 100th Anniversary Heritage Soft Tail Harley, 3 Jack Russells, a love of Good Wine,, and ya never know whats going to happen next.

See I have been busy!
I am a bear maker, pattern designer, and in general I can figure how to make what ever I need,,,
which is funny cause I cant read other patterns to save my life! I have had family & friends & customers give me patterns to make for them,, and I don't mind I usually learn something new.
But I struggle to read them,, and usually look it over, read it, then make it my own way,, no wonder I didn't do well at school, heh hee
So anyway I am blessed enough to have a lot of great friends, and we tend to trade ideas and tell each other little secrets on how to do things the easy way!
One of my friends is a self taught quilter,, love love love her work, her colour choice etc.
So she has decided that I too can learn to quilt,, and through her patience and expertise,, I am learning to quilt!!! I think I am finally getting it too!! Love it,, here is my latest,, now don't get too excited you haven't missed much,, this is only my third lap quilt!! Ha ha
Of course you notice my quality control team had to get into the picture right!!
They make sure we take breaks from sewing to stretch out,, like you know, throw a ball,, maybe a little walk! Love my furry helpers

January Thaw
Well I guess its going to be a different winter! We go from snow to no snow,, rain,, then 11 degrees and sunshine,, weird, I guess its just going to be one of those years!
My dear son bought himself a "New to him, Used" snowmobile and I keep teasing him that it is his fault,, I do feel so bad for him, he would love to get to use it,, and other than moving it off the trailer they picked it up in, and putting it into the Carriage house, he hasnt gotten to drive it at all! Poor Guy!
